After successfully serving a 7 year tour in the
U.S. Naval Submarine Service, with two years as instructor for the Polaris
Nuclear Missile Guidance System, he worked for the insurance agency
management software company AMS from 1982-86 as their IT field service
engineer, supporting the IT needs of insurance agencies in Florida, and the
Caribbean.
He founded Courtesy Computers in 1986, after
recognizing the need for qualified IT specialists dedicated to the
automation needs of small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). His company
has been a Trusted Advisor to Insurance Agencies for many years, and
works very close with the agency management software vendors.
His company provides IT consulting, network
management, and online data backup services for businesses throughout the
United States, with an intense focus
on their
security and disaster recovery needs.
With a rich background of over 30 years of IT
and business experience,
Tim has a keen
understanding of the IT workforce and the issues that drive performance,
strengthen business relationships, and retain and attract talented
employees.
Tim is actively involved with the national
IIABA’s Agent's Council for Technology committee, ACORD’s AUGIE committee,
as well as state and national users groups and associations. He continues to
promote ‘Best Practices’ within the SMB community on IT security and
disaster recovery procedures.
He is an active Private Pilot, who enjoys
traveling, and meeting new challenges.
